What is this event?

The New Milton Pedal Car Grand Prix is a fun pedal car based race and is organised by the New Milton Jubilee Fund comprising the Round Table, Lions and Rotary Clubs. Our aim is to provide a fun and entertaining event for the town of New Milton whilst supporting local youth and charity organisations.

The race itself runs on the Sunday and is a two hour endurance race around the closed off streets of New Milton town centre. The pedal cars assemble on the greenery at 11am, where they will sign in and get allocated a pit area. The race will start at 2pm. Spectators are able to walk around the whole course to watch the race from various different vantage points.

The whole emphasis of the event is to have FUN! The pedal cars vary greatly in design with some very light and aerodynamic competitive cars, whilst others are built to amuse the crowds. Each car has a team of up to four pedallers who can change over as many times as they like, which makes pit lane viewing very interesting for the spectators!

Can I take part?

Of course! The race is open to everyone from ages 16 and upwards. You will require a pedal car which we have some handy documents on located on our race documents page. Once you have a pedal car built or purchased you can form your team of 5 members and enter. There are three easy ways to enter as well.
